Day 28 - mile 384

Back on the trail again after a fantastic stay in Wrightwood. Getting back on the trail was more challenging than I expected due to main highwaybeing closed. A trail angel drove us about 30 miles on a very roundabout route to get us close to the trail. We started at 11:30am on a steep two mile approach trail after which we began the 4,000 ft climb up Mt Baden Powell.
Reaching the peak of MBP was something I was looking forward to and was well worth the steep climb.
Clouds closed in on us in the afternoon and obscured what I expect would have been spectacular views.
We found a nice campground for the night and had a campfire for the first time on the trail. A nice warm fire was an attraction for other hikers camping there. It was fun sharing stories before dragging ourselves to our tents. BTW, my airpad did great, the leak repair worked.Læs mere
