What an amazing place to visit. I didn't realize how huge Athens is. The Acropolis must have been quite the place back when Alexander the Great was in power. The architectural detail that went into the Parthenon was fascinating to learn. Things like adding a slight tilt to the colums, a very slight rounded slope to the floor and tapering of columns all to make it more visually striking. A lot of the sculptures are missing, they were plundered and now can be found in museums around the world. The museum here in Athens has a great collection to help appreciate the artwork that was once here.Baca lagi
