    Embarkation

    March 1 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 73 °F

That was the smoothest embarkation to date. Ten minutes from walking in the door until we were on the ship. This is an amazing ship and they were serving lobster at the buffet. There was a fantastic water show in the evening and a big welcome aboard party. We are going to have a good time 😄Read more

  • Perfect Day at Coco Cay

    March 2 on the Bahamas ⋅ 🌬 73 °F

Today we are at Royal Caribbean's private island. They have done a great job designing and building up this location. It definitely has a resort feel. Great place for kids and older folks like us.
Ended the day with another amazing ice skating show.

  • Fun day at sea

    March 3 on the Bahamas ⋅ 🌬 73 °F

There are so many things to do on this ship. It was fun having a day to explore and enjoy some of what is available. We started out with some needed exercise in the fitness center and great running track. Later we enjoyed some fun pickleball games. We played some card games with new friends. There was more lobster for dinner. We ended the day with SUSH, a silent party. This involved everyone wearing headphones that had three channels with different music streaming from three different djs. Everyone was singing and dancing. Part of the fun was taking off your earphones and watching everyone dancing away.Read more

  • Cozumel Mexico

    March 4 in Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 81 °F

We have been to Cozumel a few times previously. This time we walked to town and went to the Cozumel museum. It had some good displays on native wildlife and Mayan history. That was a fun stop. There were plenty of tourist venders all along the waterfront in town. Susan bought a dress and Mark bought some "authentic Oakley sunglasses for only $10"Read more

  • Roatan

    March 5 in Honduras ⋅ 🌬 81 °F

Today we hired a driver to take us around the island. This always turns out to be an adventure in itself. The driver didn't speak very much english but he got us to the places we wanted to see. We had a fun snorkling trip. Two teenage boys took us on a boat out to the reef and were very helpful. We visited a chocolate store where we had a demonstration on how they make chocolate from the cocoa beans. Then ended with a trip to an ecological park where they let us into some of the cages to get a more personal upfront experience with the animals.Read more

  • Costa Maya

    March 6 in Mexico ⋅ ☁️ 82 °F

Short stop in Costa Maya. We had previously been to the Mayan ruins located near here so this time we just did a quick trip to the port area. It has been built up quite a bit since the last time we were here. Apparently Royal Caribbean has big plans for this area to make it similar to Coco Cay. The port area was pretty crowded but worth the visit. The highlight was an enactment of a Mayan ruitual where 'flyers' climbed a pole, tied themselves to ropes then made 52 rotations where the rope unwound and slowly brought them down to the ground. One of the flyers was playing a flute all the way down.Read more

  • 2nd Day at Sea

    March 7, Gulf of Mexico ⋅ 🌬 77 °F

The ship has a really good fitness center and track that was good for starting off the day. Susan and I entered the pickleball tournament. We lost to the 1st and 2nd place teams and easily beat the team that won 3rd place (Mark wanted to get a medal). There was a very nice military and first responder tribute that we attended. In the afternoon, there was a fantastic show "Back to the Future, the musical" that was based on the broadway show of the same name. We enjoyed steak and lobster again for dinner. Wow, the food has been excellent. It was a fantastic way to end a very nice cruise.Read more
