Had a great day in Sydney. Lots happening for Australia Day. Walked and walked around Sydney. Took the ferry for a joy ride but was told it wasn’t returning to Circular Key 🙄
due to festivities. Caught train back to hotel for a rest before our harbour dinner cruise tonight. Mastered the trains to get back to cruise in plenty of time. Lovely dinner and a fantastic firework display. Thanks Sydney 🥰Read more

Taronga Zoo

Took the ferry to Taronga Zoo. The view of Sydney was amazing however we think the Perth Zoo is a lot better.

Blue Mountains

We were up early as we were heading to the Blue Mountains. Had breakfast and were on the train at Circular Quay by 8am. Had asked for directions and were told which train we needed. They forgot to mention that we needed to change trains at Blacktown. Ended up a Redfern! Had to backtrack to Blacktown station and then discovered next trail to Katoomba was 45 mins away! In the end it took us 5 hours to get to the Blue Mountains where we caught the Hop on Hop off bus to see the views. It was 40+’c today. Very hot looking at the views. Thank goodness the bus had air cond. Our trip back was far less eventful. Made it to Central
Station then changed trains to Circular Quay. Stopped for dinner on our way back to the hotel at the Orient Hotel. Early night tonight!Read more

Manly today

We walked and walked and walked today!
Had breakfast in Martin Place, checked out the Myer and David Jones stores before hopping on the light rail back to Circular Quay.
Decided to jump on the ferry to Manly. Walked around the block in Manly and checked out the beach. Very busy even though it’s overcast today. Still humid though and plenty of people swimming. Had a lovely coffee before catching the ferry back to Circular Quay.Read more

Last full day in Sydney

Quiet morning washing, so we start the cruise with a case full of clean clothes. Tracey & Colin arrived about 2pm. After a quick lunch and a drink we caught the ferry to
Barangaroo and had a couple of ‘happy hour’ drinks. Arrived back into
Circular Quay at 6pm just in time for dinner.
Very excited. When we wake tomorrow morning our ship will be in port waiting for us!Read more

Cruising days 1-3

Well what a full 3 days we have had. Forgot to take many pics, was having to much fun (or was it to many drinks🥳)
Lots of eating and drinking and a couple of good shows so far. Didn’t win at Bingo. Tracey and I enjoyed a couple of hours having a facial and enjoying the Enclave.Read more

Woke up before sunrise to another beautiful day.

Arrived in The Bay of Islands about 7am. Had room service for breakfast then got our tender tickets to get to the shore. Fast and well organised, by the time we had enjoyed a coffee in the International Cafe it was our turn to disembark.

A short 30 mins later and we were standing on New Zealand shores for the first time. After a short walk around town and the markets Warren and I decided to take a thrilling V8 Thunder Trike tour. Wow, it was great fun and Paihia is a very pretty town.Read more

Tracey’s 60th

This cruise was booked to celebrate Tracey’s 60th birthday which was today. We started the day by delivering balloons to her room and helping them finish their champagne ( they had a champagne breakfast in their cabin). After our day out in the Bay of Islands, we all enjoyed a wonderful

Auckland today

We were up early this morning to depart
the ship at 9am for our tour of Auckland. We had a coach trip booked that showed us some of the sights before taking us into the Main Street to the Sky tower where we did an “All Blacks” tour. I have a new found respect for the game of rugby!

We arrived early into
Port Chalmers which is only a short drive from
Dunedin. We had booked an ‘off ship’ tour today to show us the sights.

We saw the Octagon central, Baldwin Street which is the world’s steepest street, a lookout over the city and the Railway Station.Read more
