Los Baños de Graena to La Peza 11km

Our room rate included breakfast in Los Baños, so we indulged and stocked up on energy for the day.

After going through Graena, the Camino was along a nice dirt track, which became narrower until it joined a road.

The road wasn't busy, so we weren't disturbed by traffic. The views, on the other hand, were beautiful.

We even went through a tunnel and over a bridge. 😄

All day we had a gradual ascent, with some short steep bits, until we approached La Peza. There the Camino left the road and we descended to La Peza carefully on a gravel track.

La Peza is getting ready for the Encierros, the running of the bulls, on 9th of October.

We had the surprise of seeing Paco from the Asociación again. He had been cleaning at the albergue in Tocón, and came to give us, and the other 7 pilgrims (all men!) disposable sheets.

We had a drink with him, and a German pilgrim, at the only bar open today.
