Guadix to Los Baños de Graena 13.2km

It's sad to see how human interaction with nature is sometimes disrespectful. After walking in front of the cathedral, then the various buildings of the old quarter, you're suddenly confronted with all the rubbish left on the side of the road.

Once we had left that sphere of human interaction, we walked along a nice trail in a pine forest, with a few eucalyptus trees here and there. It was enjoyable.

We stopped at Purullena, where virtually everything was closed, except for a noisy bar, where men were arguing.

We walked on, and we arrived at the little town of Marchal. The Ayuntamiento is definitely very supportive of the Camino, with a big welcome to pilgrims sign, and a rest area with a St James cross monument.

Today being our actual wedding anniversary, we indulged in a nice room at the Hotel Balneario de Graena. The place is very quiet, possibly because it's the off season. We were happy to break the Guadix to La Peza stage in two short days. We're enjoying the scenery and the discovery together.Read more
