Port Augusta

Arrived in Port Augusta via Hawker and Quorn. The last time we were in Port Augusta was 39 years ago when we lived in Woomera. I don't have a lot of memories of this place as we really only came here to do shopping. The esplanade was lovely with its green green grass, which was very welcome after being on the station. Even the dogs got excited. We went to the arid botanical Gardens, the history of the discovery of the flora by Robert Brown from Flinders travels is amazing, and we could have spent a lot more time walking through the grounds.Читать далее
