39 years after we left Woomera, we returned. There was not a lot left that we remembered. Both houses that we lived in had been demolished. The hospital where Tegan was born has also been demolished. There were vague familiarities, but changes were too great to get a feel for the village as it was. We stayed at the Pimba RV camp and travelled to Roxby Downs and Andamooka. Roxby Downs is a neat, tidy mining town, mining uranium, coppe, and silver. Andamooka is an eclectic opal gem fields.
