Alstonville

We are staying at the showgrounds here, and they are lovely. Everything is so green around here, so refreshing after the West. We are staying five nights as it is central to Ballina and Lismore. Day 1 we did a trip to Lennox Heads to take the boys to the beach. Only 1 dog beach area, and it was packed, but Mega managed to find some schnauzer friends and have a play. We stop off at Killen Falls on the way home. Day 2 was a trip to Lismore to check it out. Lismore is quite a big city and has some beautiful vistas in some areas. Day 3 was to Ballina and Angel's Beach. The boys had a big run on the beach, which was deserted as the weather was not great with intermittent showers. Ballina was quite pretty with a nice river front. Day 4, we went back to Angel's Beach and a drive along the Ballina Coast with a side trip to Wardell on the way home.Read more
