A Ometepe en chickenbus y ferry

Von Granada auf die Insel Ometepe sind wir einen halben Tag unterwegs gewesen. Zunächst im überfullten Chicken Bus bis nach Rivas, um von dort weiter mit Taxi und Fähre, um am Schluss die letzten km mit Motorrad hinter uns zu bringen. Obwohl es länger dauert, man schwitzt und zwischendurch Ellenbogen im Gesicht hat, lieben wir die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel hier. Es gibt einfach zu viele interessante Charakter zu sehen. Spielende Kinder, nachdenkliche Erwachsene, stillende Mütter... im Bus ist immer was los.

From Granada to the island of Ometepe we were on the road for half a day. First in the overcrowded chicken bus to Rivas, to continue from there by cab and ferry, to bring the last km by motorcycle behind us at the end. Although it takes longer, you sweat and have elbows in your face in between, we love the public transportation here. There are just too many interesting characters to see. Playing children, thoughtful adults, nursing mothers.... there's always something going on on the bus.Read more
