The Gardens of Versailles

The gardens are magnificent. You could spend an entire day in them.

Louis XIV had the largest collection of exotic fruit trees in Europe. The trees were planted in planter boxes so that in winter they could be moved into the greenhouses!!

Due to time constraints, we visited the Orangery Parterre, Queen's Grove, Latona's Fountain and Parterre, Neptune Fountain and Water Theatre Grove.Leggi altro
