Old Hakata Town

Today's first stop on our explorations of Fukuoka City is the Old Hakata Town. This is a temple area with a range of temples, shrines and older style housing in the middle of the bustling city area. It was lovely to have most of these temples almost to ourselves, as Fukuoka is much less tourist heavy than other cities we've been to.

There were some beautiful gardens and trees as well dotted all along the way, and even some big fish! Michael and I really love to snap nature and animals as part of our adventure (and people interacting in everyday life).Read more
