Our next stop was to grab a quick bite of lunch at Kawabata Shopping Arcade. We found a place that was cheap and that we liked the look of, and ended up having a thoroughly delicious lunch. We shared two set meals: the chicken katsu curry and the horse mackerel and fried chicken set. The miso soup was delicious and warming, and all our meats were beautifully fried and seasoned. Michael also had a sneaky alcoholic peach soft drink, and I had ginger ale. It ended up being like, $12 each or so. Super good!

This arcade had a range of shops, but I was hanging out for a matcha, so when we saw a place I had to have one! Plus, Michael saw a local order a creme brulee dessert and was like, "yep, I'm having that." Best matcha I've ever had. It was so perfectly balanced! Score!
