Miramare Castle in Trieste; visited the Jewish Community Museum; had a drink/snack on the main square (best chocolate sundae EVER!) and saw police cadet marching band. Had a great 36 hours in Trieste!

Drove back into Slovenia and went to Postojna Cave and then arrived in Ljubljana. Had a delish dinner at a local restaurant and enjoyed the lively energy of this beautiful city.

Drove up to the foothills of the Julian Alps to Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled. Had dinner, saw fish in the lake and went to our last castle, Bled Castle. At the Castle we had the famous Bled Cream CakeEn savoir plus
VoyageurLake Bled was the first place Charlie and I went to on our Slovenia/Croatia trip in 2006. Such a story book place. We loved it. It looks like it is still mostly unspoiled and that you are having great weather. It was pouring rain most of the time we were there but was still pretty magical.
