    Ord River Cruise pt1

    July 27, 2021 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 30 °C

Ord River Cruise from Lake Argyle back to Kununurra was amazing. On the way down stopped at the Durack homestead and Lake Argyle dam. The amount of water that the dam holds is 22 times the amount of water in Sydney Harbour. In 2011 wet season the dam reached a level equivalent to 44 Sydney Harbours and can hold if needed upto 84. The scenery and wildlife along the Ord River is outstanding, from fresh water crocodiles , Rock Wallabies, various lizards and other reptiles . Birds ranging from lily trotters to pelicans purple swamp hens, egrets, darters etc. Took so many photos so have uploaded in several partsRead more
