One day - many things to do...Pt. 1

🇩🇪 Wow - heute war ein besonders langer Tag - deswegen muss es hierzu auch mehrere Teile geben, denn sonst reicht der Platz für die Bilder nicht 😄
Sehr früh ging es heute schon um 4:20 los, denn wir hatten eine Mission: den Sonnenaufgang beim Tempel Angkor Wat sehen! Ein Bus inklusive Guide Wanna hat uns am Hotel abgeholt und uns zum Ticket Center gebracht. Dort waren wir mit die ersten, die in der Schlange standen, um sich den mit wunderschönem 4:45 Uhr-Bild ausgestatteten Tagespass abzuholen. Schnell ging es dann auch schon weiter und der Bus hat uns vor den Toren von Angkor Wat abgesetzt. Jetzt hieß es schnell sein: wir waren schon echt knapp dran! Total verschwitzt kamen wir am Tempel an und konnten uns trotz der vielen Menschen noch einen tollen Platz sichern! Mehr dazu zu sagen ist eigentlich nicht, den besten Eindruck bekommt man durch die Bilder! Unser Guide hat uns später dann noch ein Bild vom Vortag geschickt, an dem die Farbenpracht des Himmels noch schöner war 🌅 Um kurz nach 6 gab es dann unser Frühstückspaket (Toast, Ei, Butter und eine kleine Banane), bevor wir zusammen in den Tempel gegangen sind und Wanna uns etwas über die Geschichte erzählt hat. Der Tempel besteht insgesamt aus 3 Etagen (Hölle, Erdreich, Himmel) - von letzterem hat man eine tolle Aussicht! Oben angekommen, konnte sich jeder, der wollte, noch von einem Mönch segnen lassen. Dafür gab es Glücksarmband Nach dem erfolgreichen Aufstieg haben wir noch ein paar Gruppenbilder gemacht und sind um kurz nach 9 in Richtung Bus, der uns zum nächsten Tempel gebracht hat....

🇬🇧Wow... today was an especially long day - that’s why there needs to be more than one post because otherwise the space for pictures won’t be enough 😄
Very really we met in front of the hotel (4:20am 😱) to be able to see the sunrise behind the temple of Angkor Wat. We were picked up by a private bus and our tour guide for today, Wanna, who first took aus to the ticket booth. Being one of the first in line we collected our 4:45am-picture for the day pass before we headed to the temple gates where our bus driver dropped us off. We had to hurry!! The sun was already coming up and we were very short in time. We arrived at the perfect picture spot being very sweaty and managed to enjoy the sunrise despite of alle the other tourists that were there with us, Unfortunately, the sky wasn’t as colorful as the day before, so Wanna sent us a picture. Shortly after 6 we got our lunch box (toast, egg, butter and a small banana) and then went to see the temple and to learn more about its history. It consists of 3 levels - hell, earth and heaven. After a successful climb to the top level we were rewarded by an awesome view over the jungle. On the top I got a blessing from a monk which gave me a bracelet for luck afterwards.
