Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Actually, we wanted to enjoy the view over Chiang Mai at 1700m, but it was so foggy that we couldn't see 50m. So we drove back down the mountain and visited Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
To visit it, we had to climb 200 steps. From here we could also see Chiang Mai.

We had lunch in bamboo huts on a small lake. Around the lake there was a lot to see. We looked at figures made of straw, some of them were huge and could be climbed. We could also stroke sheep and give the little lambs a bottle of milk.

In the evening we were taken to a restaurant owned by the locals: Hotpot & BBQ. It reminded us strongly of a Rackette oven.Read more
