New Year's eve on Gozo

A happy new year to you all and we wish each and every one of you good health and happiness for 2026.
We arrived at our current location four days ago, Hondoq Bay, near the small town Qala, pronounced Ala.
We are about three kms from the ferry port and so can observe the big ferry ships coming and going. This is a very secluded area here, with a big parking area at the beginning leading to the camping spot, were there are three other permanent campers. New years eve was quiet, ideal for the dogs, apart from one of the other campers who fired off five rockets. In the distance on the horizon, we could watch a fireworks display coming from mainland Malta that lasted around ten minutes. We are parked up right by the seafront and when the sea turns rough like it is now, well, it makes you feel different. On new years day we took a three hour walk along coastline towards the harbour but for the return, we decided to take a Taxi back.Les mer
