• El Cerro de Monserrate ~3200m

    July 29, 2019 in Colombia ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

My favorite spot in Bogotá - even though it takes a while until you get up the hill (cerro) with the tramway. On the top it seems like a small village in the Andes with its own small church and botanical garden. At an altitude of 3200m above sea level every steps feels a bit harder and temperatures go down to under 10 degrees at night. Unfortunately, we missed going up there for the sunset and the view over the city lights (of 8 Mio inhabitants) in the dark. Still, it was the best last day trip possible :)Read more
