The other girls arrived last night and then the next day we went to the Gold Museum and onto the Emerald Museum. It was interesting to learn about the indigenous people of Columbia and how they used canals to prevent flooding and help farming.

Me Chloe and Georgia then went into San Pedro Sanctuary who was the slave of the slaves and then we had a wrap.

Me and Georgia got a bottle of prosecco and went up to the view point and watched the sun go down, it was so pretty.

Then we went for cocktails and went to bed as the next day we had the volcano mud baths.Read more

Today we went to the mud baths at the Volcano which was a bizarre experience. You get thrown into this square pit of mud and then local men try to grab you to give you a massage. Afterwards your taken down to be washed and they rub your body with salty water. It was so odd.

When we got back we showered and went to cafe del mar to watch the sunset. Afterwards we had burgers and went to bed.Read more

Playa Blanca

Today we went to Playa Blanca beach. It was so touristy and people were constantly harassing you to try and sell you things.

We all got a massage and agreed a price and then the women changed the price and all he broke loose. Tash georgia and Hannah were all arguing with the ladies about the price but it was so loud that people in the sea were staring. I wouldn't go again that's for sure.

Today we caught a bus and then a jeep to Minka, which is up a steep mountain with beautiful views over columbia. There is also a large hammock you can sit in over looking the rain forest. We stayed there for a few drinks and then went back down the mountain listening to Bob Marley and singing along. When we got back we had dinner and went to bed as the next day we left early for Tayrona. We had to walk for an hour to get to the hammocks that we were sleeping in on the beach and we had a nice dinner of fresh fish and rice. We also saw beautiful beaches and had fresh orange juice. The camping was an experience I wouldn't necessarily do again but was worth it. The following day we went to a different beach outside the national park which was really cool and surfy. We had a curry for lunch and then slept by the beach and chilled.

In the evening we went back to Santa Marta to have one last meal with Chloe.Read more

After Santa Marta we travelled to Cartagena and stayed in our nice hotel and went to La Brioche for burgers which were so yummy.

The next day we had to catch a flight to Medellin and I bought an Emerald Ring which was lovely as Colombia are known for their emeralds.

When we arrived in Medellin we went to our hostel which was next to the Happy Buddha. We caught the cable car up to the top of Medellin and there were amazing views. We met a cut local in the cable car too but I was desperate for the toilet and nearly wet myself.

In the evening we went to eat at a Greek place and then went out to Happy Buddha for drinks. Met two Aussies called Hans ans Todd and also a nice Irishman called Conor.

The next day we went for brunch and then chilled as there were no tours on the Sunday to see Pablo Escobar's house.

In the evening we went out again and met two people called Kenny and Josh who were starting at pwc and EY!

Then me and Georgia went to catch our flight the next day at 5am but we weren't allowed on the flight because we didn't have proof we were leaving Panama.

So we had to go stay in a hotel near the airport and wait until the next day to fly! The hotel was so empty and bizarre and next to a huge hospital which is the nicest hospital I've ever seen.

The next day we caught our flight to Panama but only because it was delayed as they wouldn't let us on again! They said our bus transfer from Bocas to CR wasn't proof enough and so we had to book a flight from Panama to Columbia to be let on!

When we arrived in Panama we went to the bus terminal and got our eyebrows done in the mall and then we boarded the bus and met two nice people called Ruth and Cal.Read more

When we arrived in Bocas we stayed in the Selena Hostel. We are at Taco surf which was unreal and also at a Caribbean place next to the hostel.

It was raining the entire time we were there and we watched a film called something borrowed.

We met Cal and his friend Tim, Tom and Adam.

We went out to Iguana and I was pushed into the pool and cut my foot on a rock :(

Georgia took me to the hospital and I had stitches and am on anti biotics.

The next day we chilled all day as I couldn't do much and then we caught a boat and bus to Puerto Viejo. Luckily we got across the CR boarder fine!Read more
