Via Appia Antica

We joined a bike tour today along the Appian Way - the ancient road into Rome. First stop was the ancient walls and then on to the catacombs. We cycled over ancient cobblestones before stopping for lunch. Then on into the Acquedotti Parco with remains of ancient broken acqueducts and some which are still in use. 27kms later back in central Rome! A great way to see a different part of the city!!
