    Caliguel Lagoon

    A few kilometres out from Condamine we are camped by this Lagoon. There is a fair body of water with some of the larger water birds around. A small family of Happy Jack's have dropped by to see if we have any food scraps for them. They were disappointed and hopped away to do other things. Temperature is a bit hotter today but the fair breeze is offering some respite.

    Telstra say they cover 99% of the Aussie population. It is definitely not 99% of Australia though. The service is minimal with voice and probably slow data.

    In the afternoon, a large goanna caused quite a commotion among many birds as he explored trees for bird's nests. The apostle birds were on high alert dive bombing and sending him on his way. Later when he was way up a tree corella and mynahs joined the assault team, all trying to protect nests in tree hollows.
