Caliguel Lagoon

A few kilometres out from Condamine we are camped by this Lagoon. There is a fair body of water with some of the larger water birds around. A small family of Happy Jack's have dropped by to see if we have any food scraps for them. They were disappointed and hopped away to do other things. Temperature is a bit hotter today but the fair breeze is offering some respite.

Telstra say they cover 99% of the Aussie population. It is definitely not 99% of Australia though. The service is minimal with voice and probably slow data.

In the afternoon, a large goanna caused quite a commotion among many birds as he explored trees for bird's nests. The apostle birds were on high alert dive bombing and sending him on his way.
