    Site of Wirrayaraay aboriginal massacre. 10th June 1838 at Myal Creek 28 aboriginal women and children and old men were killed in cold blood in a premeditated and unprovoked attack by a group of stockman. Taken to trial all were acquitted but at a second trial seven were sentenced to hang.
