Up until the big floods this was a thriving spot. Today after the dam has been lowered to reduce risk of failure, the river levels is quite low. This means there is no fishing or water sports.

For us it was nice and quiet with lots of birdlife along the river. Unless the recreation area can re-invent itself the future seems unknown, unless the dam is repaired and restored to its former levels.Read more
