Chowey Railway Bridge

On the way to Paradise Dam we made a short 3.5k trip off the road to check out the Chowey railway bridge. This is a concrete arch bridge over a hundred years old and still in good condition.

The info board describes the construction of the bridge made from local sand. Timber structure was used to form the arches. At the time of construction it was the largest arch bridge built in Queensland.Leia mais
