• Palm Creek Festival

Well, we have grooved for 4 days with hardly any internet at the Palm Creek Festival. It is now held at Foots Hill Station, about 80k from Townsville, turning south at about 60k along the Charters Towers road.

The music was very good with many of the acts being local due to covid lock downs. There was no dancing though it was allowed with 2 square meter "bubbles". That meant family could dance together. With no mosh pit nobody bothered.

We camped quite a distance from the action in the far end of the camping area, so easily clocked up our exercise distance. Even going for a shower was a decent walk. There were plenty of options for food with many food vans present, but we mostly self catered.

The theme this year was "Under the Sea" with quite a few costumes in theme. Laser light shows projected images into trees and behind the stage.

This Festival has been running for 30 years and still as strong and popular as ever.
