Rockhampton Landfill Bird Hide

This is not really an ideal vantage point in the late afternoon. It would much better suit morning photography. Behind us is a hundred feet high Landfill of many years of Rockhampton rubbish. Now it is a transfer station where rubbish is dropped into a huge bin for pick-up to unknown destinations.

To the west though is Lagoons that are home to many water birds. That is definitely the best direction to look when visiting.Leggi altro
