Sometimes we head off our trip route to check out points of interest. Red Belly bluff was not so amazing but the trip in was. Driving along wide rocky creeks with a central flow of rippling water was amazing.

On the way out we met the owner of the property we had driven through. He was welding a long stick with a dish brush duct taped to one end. Curiousosity eventually won out and we asked the purpose. It was his own solution to slime covering the foot valve of his water pump.

When we were nearly out and back to the highway I spotter little birds vanishing into the grass with a flash of yellow. Another stop and many photos later Pam had some nice images of yellow rumpled Weebill. Before we left a couple more photos. This time her first successful photos of spotted Pardalote. They are a very beautiful bird but hard to see.
