This stop was a farm stay within easy reach of Bowen. We had visited Bowen before but this time stayed a little longer in the area. Usually it was a lunch stop. I really loved the lagoon.

We had never before stayed in Cooktown but it was worth the stop. We even managed to evade the rain. It was certainly worth the time to stay a while. I spotted a number of birds.

These were mostly taken on a friend's place. The Cryptic Honeyeater was a frequent visitor. However, it was nice to see the little pardalote and the monarch amidst the other birds.

We had stopped at Jardine Lagoon on a trip to see Copperfield Gorge and said it would be a nice place to stay. And it was! We finally stayed there this year and loved it.
