    I see lava!

    January 30, 2017 in Nicaragua ⋅ 🌬 29 °C

    Big day today!

Bit of a city tour including the cemetery. Then a visit to the biggest hammock.

Next a boat tour around the little islands that were formed by a volcano eruption. Now the rich have their homes there.

Then a few hours in a resort right on Laguna de Apoyo which is a crater lake. Beautiful and the temperature of the water was perfect.

After lunch I lay in a hammock with a smoothie - my favourite pass time here!

Then onto the Masaya craft markets where we didn't have long enough!

Last stop was the highlight which was the Masaya volcano where we got to look at the lava! It was fantastic!

You only get 15 mintures and when the whistle blows you have to quickly leave. You have to queue up and wait abit due to its popularity. All the cars and vans have to park facing the exit. Our tour guide put on a laser show in the van with some loud music which was abit of fun.

Very funny getting out of the van as we were told to be ready to rush out of the van and grab a viewing spot. We felt like the military on an operation!
