    Today the Rocky Mountaineer continued east towards the Canadian Rockies. Journeyed through vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake. The Kicking Horse Pass, viewing engineers marvel of the Spiral Tunnels and cross over the Continental Divide into the province of Alberta. Continue to Banaff National Park, established in 1885 as Canada's first national park. Coach picked us up from train,transferred by our coach to the magnificent "Castle in the Rockies", Fairmont Bnaff Springs Hotel after a Scottish Baronial Castle, arrived 19:30 Hrs.Walked into town via Bow River warm sunny evening views amazing, ordered a coke and got ice cream in a cone,eventually got a coke.
