    We had a quick visit to this somber place last night and decided to return today.
    Before the 2nd world war, King Franco was approached by Hitler and Mussolini to be allied and so that they could use Spain as a test point for some new weapons.
    On the 30th January 1938 a bomb was dropped on a small square in Barcelona. To make matters worse the square had a school in it and the children were out playing. 42 people lost their lives including children. Such a sad and awful place which still shows the damage from the bomb and the subsequent re-build.
