    We’ve left the crazy, busy Cairo for a much more serene Ammun, Jordan.  After a short bus ride from the airport, we are at the Dead Sea. It’s a landlocked salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east, the West Bank to the west and Israel to the southwest. The lake's surface is 1,443 ft below sea level,making its shores the lowest land-based elevation on earth.
