Sines - wild und frei stehen

Nach einigen Erkundungen fand ich einen Platz außerhalb der Stadt mit wunderschönem Blick auf das Meer. Es war klar, dass die Stadt diesen Platz wohl toleriert, aber nicht offiziell als Stellplatz führt. Da sich bereits einige Wohnmobile dort eingefunden hatten, entschied ich mich, in die Stadt zurückzukehren und die Nacht auf einem der anderen, offiziell sanktionierten, Parkplätze zu verbringen.

Gegen Abend setzte dann wieder Regen ein, und ein heftiger Wind begann zu blasen, der die ganze Nacht über anhielt. Heute Morgen zeigt das Thermometer nur etwa 15 °C, aber durch den starken Wind fühlt es sich noch kühler an. Die Wettervorhersage erwähnt, dass es in Spanien sonnig und wärmer ist, was mir langsam die Idee gibt, weiterzuziehen, sobald ich hier alles erkundet habe. Für heute bleibt die Stimmung in Sines jedoch rau und kühl, und ich bin hin- und hergerissen zwischen dem Wunsch, ein wenig zu verweilen, und dem Drang, weiter nach Süden zu ziehen, wo ich auf etwas wärmere Temperaturen hoffe.

Meine Batterien sind überraschend gut geladen: Die Wohnraumbatterie zeigt 55 % an, doch meine Powerstations sind leer. Ein weiteres Zeichen dafür, dass es Zeit ist, die Fahrt fortzusetzen. Ich werde vor der Abfahrt noch einen Spaziergang mit Bryan unternehmen und sehen, wohin mich die nächste Etappe bringen wird.

Après quelques explorations, j’ai finalement trouvé un emplacement en dehors de la ville avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. Il était clair que la ville tolère probablement cet emplacement sans pour autant l’officialiser. Comme d’autres camping-cars s’y étaient déjà installés, j’ai décidé de retourner en ville et de passer la nuit sur l’un des autres parkings.

Vers le soir, la pluie s’est remise à tomber, et un vent fort a commencé à souffler, restant présent toute la nuit. Ce matin, le thermomètre affiche seulement environ 15 °C, mais le vent rend l’air encore plus frais. La météo indique qu’il fait soleil et plus chaud en Espagne, ce qui me donne peu à peu l’idée de continuer ma route vers le sud dès que j’aurai tout découvert ici. Pour aujourd’hui, cependant, l’ambiance à Sines reste rugueuse et fraîche, et j’hésite entre le désir de rester un peu plus longtemps et l’envie de continuer vers le sud, où j’espère trouver des températures un peu plus douces.

Mes batteries sont étonnamment bien chargées : la batterie de l’habitacle indique 55 %, mais mes stations d’alimentation sont vides. Un autre signe qu’il est temps de reprendre la route. Je ferai encore une petite promenade avec Bryan avant le départ et je verrai où la prochaine étape nous mènera.

After some exploration, I eventually found a spot outside the city with a beautiful view of the sea. It was clear that the town likely tolerates this spot without formally designating it as a campsite. Since other motorhomes had already settled there, I decided to return to the city and spend the night on one of the other parking areas.

By evening, the rain had returned, and a strong wind began blowing, continuing throughout the night. This morning, the thermometer shows only about 15°C (59°F), but the strong wind makes it feel even colder. The weather forecast mentions sunshine and warmer temperatures in Spain, which is slowly tempting me to move on once I’ve fully explored Sines. For now, though, the atmosphere in Sines remains rough and cool, leaving me torn between staying a bit longer and heading south, hoping for slightly warmer conditions.

My batteries are surprisingly well-charged: the cabin battery shows 55%, though my power stations are empty. Another sign that it’s time to hit the road again. I’ll take a short walk with Bryan before we leave and see where the next leg of the journey takes us.Read more
