Tour group about to get on the amphibious boat. With two new friends from New York State. We are going on an amphibious craft to view small icebergsHolding a piece of iceberg. Smooth carved out grooves and millions of air bubbles. The beached small icebergs make natural ice sculptures. The graves in Iceland cannot be dug deeply because the earth is too hot. You can see the graves on tThe last church built with a turf roof.Hike to Svartavos with a rare rainbow finishing at the waterfall.1We are staying at a very pretty farm which we cannot see because of the cloud.

    September 8 in Iceland ⋅ 🌧 10 °C

The black ice shows the volcanic activity and layers of ash in previous decades/centuries. There are 30 active volcanoes in Iceland.
