What to do in a very rainy day after swimming lessons? Evie wanted to make a cake. We started making it and I realised we didn’t have enough sugar. So we used brown sugar and it made the cake caramel! Yum! Evie cracked the eggs, poured in the ingredients and turned on the mix master. Then we had to wait for the cake to cool before we could ice it. Excruciating! Evie decided on greeny-blue icing.Read more
Playing outside with the cars this morning before swimming. It is water safety week at swimming this week and the theme is Christmas. I vie wore a Christmas outfit for swimming and used the life jacket during her lesson to practice helping her friends or herself to safety. We took Evie’s baby to the park on the way home.Read more
We went over to Betty and Al’s for Betty’s birthday. Calum and Caitlin had prepared a feast! Unfortunately it was delayed! Poor caitlin was carrying empty beer bottles to the bin and slipped (it’s been raining for more than 24 hours) and sliced her hand on broken glass. So it was off to emergency for some stitches. Poor caitlin! 😞 Calum took photos but I’ll spare you the gruesome details! When they returned, we had a delicious lunch and cake! Thanks for a great afternoon Smiths and happy birthday Betty!Read more
It was a lovely day (maybe not the Caitlin falling/emergency/stiches/pain bit)! Thanks to all who shared in my lovely day xxxx
Evie was invited to Emilie and Alina’s 5th birthday party. She had to dress as her favourite Disney character and she chose Maui from Moana. There were 2 other Maui’s there as well as a lot of princesses! Because of the rain the party was relocated from the park to the church hall but everyone still had fun!Read more
This morning we went to Evie’s kindy orientation. She was quite anxious beforehand but once we got there she didn’t want to leave! She met her teachers Miss Terese and Miss Kylie who were both lovely!
We bought a couple of shirts. The smallest size is huge on her! Hopefully she grows a bit before next year!
Her highlight was the little toilets and sinks - she didn’t need a step to reach the tap!Read more
When we collected the eggs today, there were only 2. One very small and one huge! Evie thinks the big one will have 2 yolks in it - she’s usually right!
Swimming this morning. It was parent feedback week and Evie’s teacher is very happy with her progress. She has great arms but needs to work on keeping her legs straight when kicking.
A bit of outdoor painting and play dough in the afternoon. Evie painted a masterpiece.Read more
A bit of an Irish jig (inspired by Emma Wiggle) and some tricky locks and latches. She decided the box was a good place to hide treasure.
Good work Evie - looks delicious 😊
