    Went for a beautiful drive to the Sani Pass border post. Police were extremely friendly and most helpful. No chance of going to the top! No passport and no 4 x 4 vehicle 😢 Stopped at a beautiful place for lunch Moorcroft Manor. Sublime.Read more

    Trip to Drakensberg Sun Resort and dinne

    Today was relaxed. Took a drive to the Drakensberg Sun Resort. Encountered some beautiful scenery and spent a couple of hours at the Resort. Watched the birds and had a cool drink. Got back to Himeville and drove around looking at the stunning homes. Had an afternoon nap and then went out for dinner.

    Laid Back Day

    After a slow, leisurely start to the day, we tootled off into town for breakfast. We found a quaint little bistro in a small shopping center. The Lemon Tree Bistro has a lot to offer. Homemade jams, preserves, pickles, sauces and fresh bread and eggs to name but a few. I'm astounded by the number of young people who have major business interests in this place. It's wonderful to know that this part of the country is doing well.
    We walked around and looked at the little shops and then went for a drive. We were going to Kokstad but after a seemingly never-ending road we turned back and stopped at a place called The Olde Duck just outside town for a cool drink. Beautiful surroundings.    Read more

    They Trip back home begins!

    Well!! Today was one for the books!! We decided that we were going to take the "short, scenic route".
    The first 20 kilometers of dirt road was a breeze and then we got to the turn off to Nottingham Road!!! Suffice it to say that there is NO road to speak of. Rocks, dongas and stones were the order of the day! I had to laugh at Alan as he was most unimpressed. We were going at snails pace. Longest 80 kilometers of my life! 😂
