    Chitwan National Park, 2nd Day

    Crocodiles and rhinos and elephants and hornbills, oh my! Today began with an elephant demonstration with a 55 and 25 year old elephants. Then we crossed to the south side of the Narayani River to explore Chitwan National Park that borders the India border. Fish crocodiles can be seen at a distance. Animals in the jungle including giant hornbill birds. No Bengal tigers but we did see tiger footprints. One beautiful wildflower: turmeric. One monitor lizard. Lunch at the top of a three story rickety tower. Returned to the resort for a dip in the pool, a performance by local young adults (Thanu tribe) that was pretty amazing, followed by dinner.
