Day 41. Alto de San Roque

Coming through the village of Liñares - no bar for food. Tiny old church with its cemetary attached. As I was coming out a number of cows were "herded" through the village.

On to the Alto de San Roque - this side of O Cebreiro the camino is short ups and downs and flats in very quick succession quite strenuous, but the path is not rocky, but easy to walk on. Mostly through forest with a lot of moss on either side of the path. Oh, and well before reaching O Cebreiro until well afterwards we were in a cloud - a few drops of rain, but very humid all the time.

On the Alto de San Roque very long pause near the statue of a pilgrim - lunch and siesta.
I have been taking my time during today's walk. Almost 3 pm. Better get a move on...Read more
