    The start point for the Ruta de la Lana, now referred to as the Lana. It is not open to visitors until 10 O'clock and it is now only 8.40. I would like a stamp for my pilgrim pass but I also need to start walking! The good thing is that the rain is only light, at the moment.Read more

    Not far now!
    Just as I walked past a small home with the mother sweeping the pavement in front of the front door; the door slamed shut by the wind a virtually cut of a young kids finger. I supplied dressings and helped until someone turned up to take him to hospital, I think. It stopped me for 20 minutes. No picture, you be glad to here.Read more

    I had to walk 12 km around a large hill which is being dismantled one lump and lorry load at a time.

    I have been walking all around this town for hours trying to find my way to the next stop Sax. There are too many missing signs, blocked and overgrown paths that mean you need to keep reversing your steps this has added at least two hours to today's plan. A second 8 hour walking day of over 20 miles through very ugly countryside means I have decided to stop. Currently sat in a cold caravan with water dripping through the roof after the mother of all thunder storms. I have just purchased my train ticket back to Alicate for tomorrow lunchtime. I have been looking forward to this walk for two years, so disappointing.Read more
