Coober Pedy- Bonus Day

Day 4 - Sadly it hasn't been all sunshine and roses. We had a bit of an accident on Monday morning while packing up. Lisa got onto the bed to close the windows not realizing the bed supports had already been removed, which resulted in the bed collapsing and bending the bed rails at a 45° angle. Lisa felling out of the bed landing on the ground below, scrapping her back on the bolt of the tow bar. We were so grateful to a fellow traveller, Ross, who helped Rudolph for the next three hours in the heat, trying to straighten out the bed channels so that we could get the bed back in. There was some doubt about how successful the fix would be but we got it working. We then decided to go directly to Alice Springs to try to get some parts to fix it properly. Lisa ended up with some scrapes and bruises but generally fine.Read more
