Casa de l'Ardiaca

The Casa de l'Ardiaca refers its origins as once being the Archdeacon's house. It was built, and rebuilt, of parts of the ancient Roman wall of Barcino. Excavation has shown that the old Roman aqueduct ran through one of the walls! Since 1919 it has housed the Barcelona City Archives. An exhibition of Barcelona "cartel" (poster) art was open when we visited.Leggi altro
