Water Puppet Theatre

After a nice breakfast at the Babylon Hotel we set out to visit a local family who’ve made a business out of making & performing with water puppets. They’ve traveled a great deal to perform but have a water puppet theatre right in their home. They tell traditional stories with their puppets, but also make up stories to teach children lessons, such as being careful on scooters or risk crashing. Kim got to try to manipulate a puppet underwater, & found it took a lot of forearm strength. The puppets are made of wood & controlled by strings & gears.
