We continue to walk around this interesting city. We also took a trip to the Atlas Mountains where we experienced our first camel ride.
Flight to Johannesburg, South Africa

We flew from Marrakech to Johannesburg via Istanbul.

We were told that Sandton was a safer area to stay in than the city of Johannesburg. Kim bought two pictures from locals here. We rested for our next phase of our adventure !

Today was the best day! A pair of lionesses walked right past our safari truck. We followed them to their 6 cubs. We got very close to a pair of male lions. Ndaba had the driver drive off the path to Czytaj więcej
On the road to Lake Kariba

We reluctantly left Sable Springs on our way to Lake Kariba. On our way, unbeknownst to us, Ndaba has purchased a mango tree with a litre of water. We stopped along the side of the road, where he Czytaj więcej
Lake Kariba

We’re aboard the Shikra on Lake Karibe. We anchored & Kim went on a scenic boat trip. Ndaba & I went fishin’. We caught 43 tilapia! We ate some, & Ndaba packed the rest in ice to take home to his Czytaj więcej
Lake Kariba

We continue to enjoy our boat cruise on Lake Kariba. After dinner, Ndaba set up a “hot spot” on his phone so we could wish Nick a Happy Birthday.
Flight to Victoria Falls

We’re flying to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe today. This is where Ndaba & his family live. Unfortunately the water levels are very low, so the Falls aren’t nearly as impressive as they often are. This Czytaj więcej
Victoria Falls Lesedi School Visit

The highlight today was our visit to a local school just outside of Victoria Falls. The Grand Circle Foundations has supported this school for many years. The kids are happy & healthy. They’re fed a Czytaj więcej
Walking With Lions

We visited the Fuller Forest’s Alert Centre today where we walked with Lions! Kim attended High Tea at Victoria House with two of the ladies.
Visit to Ndaba’s house

We stopped at a place where they were carving wooden sculptures of animals. Next we visited Ndaba’s family in Vic Falls. Then a local market right beside the road. We finally arrive at Elephant Czytaj więcej
Chobe National Park

Our first full day in Chobe National Park. Two Game Drives, as usual, & we saw plenty of wildlife close up!

Our morning game drive was awesome. Our guides spotted some distressed mongeese & figured a predator was nearby. We waited & eventually this beautiful leopard appeared. We went on a boat trip and saw Czytaj więcej

said goodbye to Ndaba. Our post-trip to Capetown begins with a home visit.
