Tour of Capetown

We started the day in line to go up on top of Table Mountain on a gondola. The views were spectacular. The gondola ride runs frequently & is very steep. The driver then took us around old Capetown where we saw some brightly coloured homes that Capetown is known for. The streets are quite steep in places, not quite like San Francisco though. In the PM we drove around the Townships of Capetown & Langa in particular, where we saw where many blacks still live. They remain segregated from Whites & Coloureds which are a mixture of different cultures. The blacks certainly were/are very much the poorest. We stopped by a nursery school where the teachers do the best they can with limited funding.Read more
