Sunset beach- waimea bay

Had trouble getting Chris out of bed- apparently he can’t handle his cocktails the next morning- lol! Dragged him out and headed to Waimea bay for a day on the beach- the waves were huge when we arrived- Beach was closed but it didn’t stop people from swimming- was very entertaining watching swimmers getting dumped onto the shore and rolled around in the sand! A freak wave woke Chris up from his hangover nap time with the wave covering his whole towel! The waves settled after a while and Chris ventured in for a quick swim- I opted for the safer ankle deep swim! Had lunch at a little deli in the old town Haleiwa and drove back to hotel via sunset beach, turtle beach and pipeline.Read more
