It was a bit of a difficult day as my ankle was hurting the first few hours of the day. It's nothing new, just the old thing that now and then reappears even without hiking.
It however got a bit better in the afternoon, but the terrain didn't! I found my absolute least favorite terrain to hike in; a fine white sand beach!
And we're not talking about a kilometer or two of this beach, no it was closer to ten! And tomorrow I will be looking at 20 kilometers of the same beach!
It's boring, difficult to walk with a backpack as you sink into the sand filling your shoes with sand. It's slow going.
Tomorrow I'll see if I can find a path behind the dunes. If not, I think I'll walk along the roads as I just can't do 20 km of that beach.
Oh yes, and yesterday evening I got a visitor to my tent who was very interested in the remains of my tuna sandwich. 😄Read more
