• Day 6

    Apr 20–21, 2025 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 9 °C

I left early in the morning around 7 am as I could see from the map that I had a long day ahead of me if I wanted to reach Ronne. Also, I was almost out of water because the nearby tap hadn't been opened yet. So no way of sitting and drinking morning coffee slowly...

Thankfully I found paths behind the dunes and also the official route went behind and on top of the dunes most of the day. Only occasionally I had to walk directly on the beach. It was as heavy as yesterday.

Also had a close encounter with a deer. I got a feeling that somebody was staring at me and when I turned my head there was a deer staring at me five meters away! He didn't seem to be that afraid of me.

Reached Ronne at 4 pm. It was a long day. Eight to nine hours of walking is the limit of my endurance. Even when I take breaks it still starts to feel extremely heavy and painful at around the eight hour mark.

And so I've completed the 120 kilometer coastal path! I'm surprised how fast I hiked it and how easy it felt even when there was quite a lot of climbing and descending.
