    June 4 in Albania ⋅ 🌩️ 29 °C

I didn't get any proper photos but I wanted to record our crazy journey home so we remember it in future 😅

We arranged to drop our rental car back off at 5pm, the man didn't turn up until 6pm. Luckily after just a week in Albania I had suspected he would be incredibly late so I had allowed an extra hour so as to not miss our flight home... As we sat in the car waiting for him a few drops of rain came

Once through the airport the flight was delayed... Those few drops of rain had turned into a giant storm covering multiple countries! The whole airport was grounded. Lennon made immediate best friends with a little boy called Iman (Emanuele) who was part English/Italian/Albanian, they were so similar and both very excited and hyper. When we eventually got on the plane, we were sat right by each other and then the pilot announced we wouldn't be setting off for another hour and 40 minutes. The 4 of us on 3 tiny ryanair seats in the boiling heat with no food or drink 🙃

We eventually took off and we flew through the craziest storm, the sky around us was full of lightening bolts and the turbulence was intense. 'is the plane falling out of the sky!?' asked Lennon. I was wondering the same thing to be honest.

A million years later we arrived back in Manchester and Lennon said his goodbyes to Iman 'Im never going to see you ever again!' he told him 😂

On the drive home the sun came up 😅
