Castles, Lochs and Locks.

Spectacular scenery on our drive today to Fort William. We are now officially in the Highlands. First stop was McCraig tower in Oban which was built seemingly as a bit of whimsy by a philosopher - looks like a smaller scale Colloseum on top of a hill!
Castles today were Dunstaffnage, Stalker and Inverlochy. All impressive in their own right!
As we drove further into the highlands we came to Buachaile Etive Mor where some of the filming for the movie 'Skyfall' was done. The road between the craggy mountains was where the Aston Martin car chase from the movie was filmed. Truly awe inspiring scenery!We ended this afternnon with a visit to Neptune's Steps near Fort William where there are a series of 7 locks. We were lucky enough to see a big boat slowly make its way through all the gates. Amazing engineering. Temp got to 24c again this afternoon.Leer más
